The
largest city around for a 600-mile radius, Denver
thrives as a stellar metropolitan shopping magnet.
Nearly all of Downtown Denver's 5,300 hotel rooms are
within two blocks of the tree-lined 16th Street Mall,
a granite pedestrian promenade running through
downtown’s core where free shuttles cruise the
mile-long walk every 90 seconds.
From Denver
Pavilions, downtown at the 16th Street Mall Gleanarm
near the convention center to the upscale Cherry Creek
Shopping Center, anchored by Saks Fifth Avenue and
Neiman Marcus, dozens of chain venues await from Louis
Vuitton, Tommy Bahama to Burberry. Neighborhood shops
include Larimer Square’s Crybaby Ranch.
Downtown’s Belmar on
South Teller Street features Urban Anatomy and the
Market at Belmar on Sundays, and downtown’s Woolrich
Outlet Center touts discounted outerwear and blankets.
Flatiron Crossing has some 200 retail shops. Colorado
Mills on West Colfax also has 200 retailers and
restaurants. Art District on Santa Fe, minutes from
downtown, showcases Denver’s largest concentration of
art galleries.
Littleton’s Park
Meadows Retail Resort boasts Colorado’s largest
Nordstrom and Dillard’s alongside Foley’s, and JC
Penney, with 150 specialty stores and
restaurants. |
